Job Description

General Summary:

The MD Human Resources APAC provides strategic and functional leadership for the development and execution of people strategies across the region, ensuring that human capital strategy serves as a competitive edge for FedEx.

The role provides strategic direction across all aspects of Human Resources, with accountability for organizational capability, leadership and succession planning, workforce strategy, employee and labor relations, culture, and talent outcomes across the region. By leveraging workforce insights and deep business understanding, the Managing Director helps shape decisions that drive performance, strengthen organizational resilience, and support long-term growth.

As a trusted partner to senior leaders, the role balances business objectives with people priorities, leading initiatives that build leadership capability, optimize organizational effectiveness, and ensure FedEx has the talent, culture, and workforce readiness required to execute its strategic objectives across APAC.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive progressive (at least 10 years) HR leadership experience, including senior-level accountability for HR functions across multiple countries in complex, global and matrixed organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR disciplines, including talent strategy, talent management, HR business partnering, HR services, employee engagement, labour relations etc.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale people initiatives that align with business objectives and support organizational growth and transformation.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to translate business priorities into effective people solutions.
  • Strong people leadership, with experience cultivating high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders across markets and functions.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

People Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Lead the development and execution of the APAC people strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, growth priorities, and workforce requirements. Partner with regional and market leadership to strengthen organizational capability, organizational design, and workforce effectiveness in support of long-term business success.

Talent, Leadership & Succession Management

  • Oversee talent strategy, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning across the region. Build strong leadership pipelines, accelerate the development of future-ready capabilities, and ensure the organization has the talent required to achieve current and future business objectives.

Strategic HR Partnership & Business Transformation

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organizational, workforce, and talent matters. Lead the people aspects of strategic business initiatives, organizational change, and transformation programs, ensuring effective workforce transitions and sustainable business outcomes.

Culture, Employee Experience & Labor Relations

  • Champion FedEx's People-Service-Profit (PSP) philosophy by fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven culture. Provide strategic oversight of employee engagement, employee and labor relations, workplace culture, and people programs that strengthen workforce commitment, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.

HR Operations, Governance & Functional Leadership

  • Lead the HR function across APAC, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and customer-focused HR services. Drive continuous improvement, digital enablement, and operational excellence while developing a high-performing HR organization that effectively supports the evolving needs of the business. Ensure all organizational activities are conducted to the highest ethical, professional, and integrity standards, in alignment with FedEx values, policies, and applicable requirements.
