We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven ManagingDirector to lead the strategic growth and overall management of our cateringand food service business in Singapore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving businessperformance, overseeing day-to-day operations, expanding corporate businessopportunities, and ensuring the company's long-term growth and profitabilitywhile maintaining strong alignment with the Japan-based parent company.
. Develop and execute the overallbusiness strategy and long-term growth plans for the Singapore business.
. Assume full profit and loss(P&L) responsibility, including budgeting, financial performance, revenuegrowth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
. Lead business developmentinitiatives, including the acquisition of new corporate clients and theexpansion of key customer accounts.
. Identify new marketopportunities and develop strategic partnerships to strengthen the company'smarket position.
. Provide leadership anddirection to department heads across sales, operations, finance, procurement,and administration to ensure organisational effectiveness.
. Establish performanceobjectives and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity,service quality, and profitability.
. Report regularly to the Boardof Directors and the Japan-based parent company on business performance,financial results, strategic initiatives, and operational matters.
. Work closely with the parentcompany to ensure alignment with overall corporate strategy and governancerequirements.
. Build and maintain strongrelationships with corporate customers, suppliers, business partners, and otherkey stakeholders.
. Ensure compliance with allapplicable Singapore laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
. Bachelor's degree or above inBusiness Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or arelated discipline.
. Minimum 10 years of progressivemanagement experience in the catering, food service, FMCG, or other related B2Bindustries.
. At least 10 years of seniorleadership experience with responsibility for strategic planning,organisational management, and business performance.
. Demonstrated experiencemanaging a business unit or company with full P&L responsibility.
. Proven track record of drivingsustainable business growth through strategic sales leadership, operationalmanagement, and new business development.
. Strong experience in B2B sales,including the acquisition of major corporate clients and development oflong-term commercial relationships.
. Excellent leadership, peoplemanagement, communication, and decision-making skills, with experience leadingcross-functional management teams.
. Business-level proficiency inJapanese (spoken and written) is required to communicate effectively with theJapan-based business partner, prepare management reports, participate inexecutive meetings, and support strategic planning with Japanese stakeholders.
. Native or Business-levelproficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to communicateeffectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and business partners inSingapore.
. Experience reporting directlyto a Board of Directors or parent company is preferred.
. Experience managing multiplebusiness functions or entities within a corporate group will be an advantage.
