THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE

Job Synopsis

We are seeking a Strategic Communications professional to join the project development team for the upcoming NS Gallery (NSG). You will play a key part in shaping and delivering the Gallery's marketing and communications strategy from concept through to delivery.

You will work with internal stakeholders and agency partners to develop and implement an integrated marketing communications strategy, ensuring its alignment with Gallery's priorities, messaging coherence, and brand positioning. You will also take into consideration other public-facing elements (digital presence, online engagement, events and programmes) and incorporate them accordingly. Key milestones include the opening campaign for the atrium in 2027 and the full launch of the Gallery in 2028/29.

The ideal candidate has experience in marketing communications and strategy, audience analytics, media and public relations, campaign planning and project management is comfortable working with agencies, stakeholders and partners, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Job Description

1.Develop and implement an integrated marketing communications plan to support brand activation aligned with NSG's objectives, messaging and brand positioning, working closely with internal teams (digital, engagement, programming) and managing the overall comms calendar.

  • Work on procurement of marcoms agency, and project manage agency's deliverables and project budget - this includes timelines of key deliverables, scoping and shaping deliverables, ensuring seamless and timely execution.

  • Facilitate agency's requests with internal stakeholders and clear communications approaches and content through internal channels, where required.

2.Manage the Gallery's overall comms calendar and support major project milestones with coordinated communications, ensuring campaign integration, brand consistency across digital platforms, partnerships and on-site activations.

  • This includes a comprehensive marcomms plan and launch events leading up to the opening of the large platforms display in 2027 and the full opening of the NSG in 2028/29.

3.Drive the development of press materials, media narratives and story angles aligned with Gallery's priorities and objectives and coordinate and direct reputation/crisis comms management efforts and coordinate responses (media, committee of supply etc.) when required.

4.Work with Digital Development POC to track and evaluate communications performance e.g. audience engagement, comments and interactions across platforms and campaigns (both digital and mass media) to derive insights to inform communication strategies, continuous enhancement of user experience as well as to support broader gallery development, programming and content decisions.

  • Submit analysis reports as required to Task Force or Ministry HQ.

  • Recommend and implement approaches to improve communications gaps.

5.Serve as the primary point of contact between the Gallery and the appointed audience research agency.

  • Oversee the research budget for the Gallery, coordinate request within the Gallery team for research support and help to prioritise research activities within budget limits.

Challenges:

This role requires strong proactiveness and ambition to deliver a world-class Gallery, alongside adaptability to changes. The successful candidate must help to position the NS Gallery to world-class standards, building strong public interest in both the physical Gallery experience and its online presence. As the project is underway, priorities and plans may evolve, requiring the ability to adapt quickly while remaining responsible, timely and collaborative. The role also involves working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across agencies and partners, requiring sensitivity to differing perspectives while maintaining clarity of purpose and ensuring the Gallery's objectives and requirements are met.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Requirements: Degree in Communications, Arts or Social Sciences, with a keen interest in Singapore's social and military history.

  • The jobholder should have minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing, communications, public/media relations or related fields with experience in planning campaign launches, social media management and audience analytics tools.

  • The jobholder should have a strong command of both spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills to translate technical speak into persuasive messaging. Strong organisational and project management skills are also key to this role.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills to work collaboratively with others, be meticulous and detail-oriented.

  • Be independent and comfortable with multi-tasking and tracking and driving multiple workstreams concurrently.
