Job Purpose
- To assist Head (SWF) in leading Education (AHG Learn), Golden Point Award (GPA) and AHG Fellowship portfolios, establishing and building strong relationships through engagements and partnerships with external stakeholders and agencies to ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
- To support the Festival Director (SWF) in planning, executing and delivering SWF to achieve its stated objectives, in line with Arts House Group (AHG) management and the National Arts Council (NAC)s funding guidelines and key performance indicators, contributing to the long-term development of SWF.
- To engage and support local artists and arts groups in the presentation of their work in SWF.
- To assist in the management of other AHG projects and events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Implementation & Management
A. Education (AHG Learn)
- Lead the consolidation, management, and delivery of AHG Learn education content and programmes.
- Partner with internal departments (e.g., SIFA, Strategy & Planning, Venue Programming) to streamline and coordinate education offerings.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to ensure strong outreach, audience engagement, and brand visibility.
- Oversee the implementation of educationrelated festival programmes, including SWF Classroom.
B. Golden Point Award (GPA)
- Manage all aspects of the biannual national writing competition with the appointed partner.
- Oversee competition administration, organisation, execution, and delivery of the GPA, including the Award Ceremony.
- Work with Marketing and Communications on profiling and publicity.
C. AHG Fellowship
- Plan, execute, and administer the AHG Fellowship, including appointment of Fellows and programme delivery.
- Work closely with Partnerships, Marketing and Communications to strengthen programme support and brand recall.
- Integrate Fellowship programming into the Singapore Writers Festival and other networking and profiling opportunities.
2. Festival Programming & Implementation
- Develop and deliver quality programmes for selected strands, in alignment with SWF/AHG programming strategies.
- Oversee all administrative and logistical components (artist liaison, budgeting, contracting, licensing, approvals).
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to amplify publicity, drive attendance, and grow audiences.
- Support Partnership Development in identifying, canvassing, and securing sponsorships, grants, and funding opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, partners, and stakeholders.
3. Organisational Support
- Support the SWF team and contribute to organisational objectives across AHG projects and events.
- Undertake duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree preferably in Arts and/or Social Sciences, or relevant training from arts or educational institutions. A subject concentration in Literature would be an advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in a mothertongue language (Malay, Mandarin, or Tamil) is an advantage.
- 45 years of relevant experience in an educational institution or related organisation. Experience with content development, competitions, residencies, or fellowships is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with proven ability to work crossfunctionally.
- Demonstrated experience in project and budget management, with ability to manage multiple workstreams
Skills & Competencies
- Effective communicator capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Highly organised, detailoriented, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Passion for Singapore's arts and culture sector, with prior artsrelated experience considered an advantage.
