We are seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to focus on business development and partnership opportunities to drive our growth strategy and expand our market presence for executive education in the leadership and organization development space. The individual will support the Head of Strategic Partnerships. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong track record in sales, business development, and relationship management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and foster long-term relationships.
Note: this is a one-year contract position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships that align with business goals and enhance product/service offerings for executive education. Acquisition of new accounts.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and clients to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and execution of business development initiatives.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Degree holder with at least 8 years or more of experience in related roles.
- Deep experience in outreach and client acquisition relationship management, sales & marketing, and the ability to support programme design, proposal development, operational execution, and delivery.
- Must possess the ability to embrace ambiguity be initiative-taking, independent, and able to perform tasks with minimum supervision have a positive can-do attitude and be a team player.
- Must be an excellent communicator with an extremely high degree of proficiency in English.
- An enquiring mind the incumbent should be an out-of-the-box thinker who is not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom to create new knowledge that is relevant in today's fast-evolving marketplace.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with line as well as senior internal and external stakeholders via direct outreach and through networking.
- Comfortable working in a flat organization with minimal hierarchy, the incumbent must be enthusiastic about the non-profit sector and be a self-starter and a doer.
