The Role

Manager (IT Systems & Operations)

The Senior Manager (IT Systems & Operations) supports IT environment by ensuring smooth operations across endpoint management, user support, asset governance, systems administration, and vendor coordination. The role additionally drives and supports IT infrastructure and digitalisation projects to strengthen reliability, security, and user productivity across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Support

  • Serve as the key IT operations contact point coordinating closely with vendors for incident resolution, service requests, escalations, and SLA tracking.
  • Process, validate, and coordinate Service Requests (SR) for hardware, peripherals, and user IT needs (e.g., monitor requests, copier installation files).
  • Maintain IT documentation
  • Oversee IT asset lifecycle management (procurement, deployment, stocktake, disposal)
  • Support deployment activities such as laptop tech refresh exercises and system client migrations
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding tasks including account setup, system access provisioning, and license allocation.

Systems Administration & IT Governance

  • Support provisioning and administration of systems (e.g., M365, communications tools)
  • Track and maintain IT configuration documentation and ensure accuracy of IT asset and system records.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate IT services and project deliverables.
  • Provide updates, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution to maintain operational continuity for daily activities.

Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects such as office relocations, infrastructure upgrades, system rollouts, and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.
  • Prepare technical and operational documentation for projects.
  • Support testing, deployment, change management, and post implementation review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Requirements

Technical and Soft Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT operations, endpoint management, and Windows/Mac environments.
  • Experience with IT asset management and inventory systems.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and communication tools.
  • Basic system administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exposure to ITIL processes (incident, change, problem, service request).
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solvers with ability to operate under tight timelines.
  • Able to work independently with vendors and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations is a plus.
