About the Role
We are looking for an International Tax professional to join our high-impact tax team, partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders across the different regions. Operating across multiple jurisdictions globally — this role will be central to managing Group-wide tax compliance, monitoring tax risk, and advising on cross-border transactions and strategic initiatives as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
● Manage tax compliance matters for the Group, partnering with the broader finance team and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings across all jurisdictions
● Prepare and review quarterly/annual tax provisions, monitor the Group's effective tax rate (ETR) and cash tax position, and identify drivers of material variances
● Oversee tax balance sheet and P&L items, tax notes for financial statements, and coordination with auditors on tax-related disclosures
● Liaise with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders across regions on compliance matters, audits, and inquiries
Tax Risk & Governance
● Monitor tax risks across the Group, maintain documentation of key tax positions, and assist in the assessment of uncertain tax positions
● Monitor changes in global tax legislation relevant to the Group's jurisdictions, assessing impact and proactively advising the business
● Support the design and enhancement of tax controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks appropriate for a scaling, multi-jurisdictional business
Business Advisory & Product Support
● Advise on tax aspects of Group projects, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, legal entity structuring, and tax incentive applications
● Assess the tax implications of new fintech, brokerage, and crypto-adjacent products, providing practical, technical guidance that supports business growth while maintaining compliance with tax regulations
Process & Technology
● Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to improve tax compliance, data analysis, and reporting processes
● Partner with Finance and IT to implement or enhance tax determination and compliance tools as the Group scales
What We're Looking For
● Minimum 10+ years of international tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 / advisory firm experience and in-house roles; exposure to financial services, fintech, brokerage, capital markets, or related regulated industries is highly preferred
● Strong technical skills in tax accounting and tax compliance, with an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
● A hands-on self-starter who is comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment, and is equally willing to execute detailed work as to advise at a strategic level; resourceful and adaptable
● Familiarity with AI and its applications in tax processes (e.g., compliance automation, data analysis, process improvement) is a plus
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
● Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) required
● Strong English proficiency required; spoken Chinese proficiency advantageous to support collaboration with regional colleagues and external stakeholders
