Job Description

The Manager/ Senior Manager, Institutional Business Asia will focus on supporting business development and account management, working with the existing team to assist in the day-to-day management of existing and new institutional clients with a focus on cross selling capabilities across the FSG platform. As well as covering existing client relationships an integral part of the role will be identification and follow up on new business opportunities in Asia particularly Korea.

The role requires a high degree of motivation and self-drive, key objectives of the role include:

  • Actively sell/cross-sell to institutional prospects and clients
  • Drive client and consultant meetings partnering closely with investment teams
  • Liaise with asset consultants and update consultant databases regularly
  • Develop sales presentation materials in collaboration with investment and marketing teams, and coordinate compliance approvals
  • Prepare and distribute client reports and materials for client review meetings
  • Provide business development support by addressing client and consultant inquiries and requests
  • Engage with the marketing team to deliver market updates and research papers to clients and prospects
  • Conduct competitor analysis and manage the client pipeline
  • Work with the RFP team on the preparation of RFP responses


Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of the institutional market, with a focus on Korea
  • Extensive asset management experience within a client facing and relationship management role focusing on Korea and other Asian markets
  • Extensive experience driving institutional sales and managing institutional accounts. You must have established client networks and connectivity in Korea and Asian markets.
  • Business Proficiency in Korean and English languages
  • Excellent technical capability and knowledge of investment markets and portfolio management
  • Demonstrate maturity and competence in engaging clients, investment teams and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to meet necessary licensing requirements or willingness to obtain qualifications
  • Professional, trustworthy, and open in all dealings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with institutional investors and advisers
  • Positive attitude, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
