Job Description

Human Potential was introduced as a new focus area under the expanded Human Health and Potential (HHP) domain in RIE2025, and its importance continues to be affirmed in RIE2030. As Singapore grapples with persistently low birth rates, a shrinking workforce, and a rapidly ageing population, the Human Potential Cluster plays a critical role in addressing these national challenges. With human capital as Singapore's most valuable resource, it is imperative to optimise each individual's potential across the entire life course.

The Human Potential Cluster in BMRC supports cross-institutional initiative aimed at accelerating research, innovation, and translational impact in healthy population.

We are looking for a highly independent and motivated person to join Human Potential Cluster to support a cross-institutional initiative aimed at accelerating research, innovation, and translational impact in healthy longevity, and perform the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Support planning, setup, and operationalisation of this new initiative
  • Liaise with central functional teams (Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement) to coordinate administrative, onboarding, budgeting, and compliance processes.
  • Track and follow up on key deliverables, action items, timelines, and escalations with internal partners and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc operational tasks as required by the central team, including event planning, stakeholder engagement sessions, and coordination of reviews or workshops.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the successful set-up and implementation of this new initiative.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree in life sciences, public health, social sciences or a related discipline is preferred, though not essential.
  • Experience in research programme operations and administration would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with government agencies and familiar with public service processes, communications protocols, and coordination dynamics.
  • Self-motivated individual who can take initiative, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities and workstreams.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Meticulous with strong organisational skills, and open to learning and developing expertise in research programme.
