The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore's raison d'etre is to develop the air hub and aviation industry in Singapore, expanding Singapore's links to the rest of the world. We enable opportunities through aviation, making connections, opening doors and enabling choices in people's lives.
What You Will Be Working On
- You will be responsible for the safety oversight of foreign air carriers operating in and out of Singapore.
- You will develop and implement safety policies and regulations for these carriers.
- You will perform safety assessments, and also carry out continued surveillance, including aircraft ramp inspections, of their operations in Singapore.
- You may occasionally be required to travel overseas.
- In your role, you may have to communicate, in both written and spoken formats, to various stakeholders.
- There may also be opportunities to represent Singapore at various regional and international platforms.
- As part of the team, you can help shape international aviation safety standards and drive regional safety initiatives in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization and other international partners.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial airline operations in engineering / technical / aviation safety regulatory compliance / quality assurance roles, preferably in supervisory or management positions, with a wide understanding of civil aviation operations.
- Preferably trained in an engineering field or possess a valid Part 66 Category B1/B2/C licence. Candidates with other equivalent qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Possess good communication skills, both written and spoken.
