Job purpose
The Jobholder oversees all the rehabilitation programmes and services that supports active ageing and quality of life for our sheltered home residents, senior day care centre clients as well as active ageing centre clients. He/she will develop and maintain the structure and processes as well as manage own rehabilitation staff and outsourced rehabilitation provider to deliver effective rehabilitation servicesin line with SSCH's care philosophy of person-centered care.
Duties and responsibilities
Core Duties
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the CR programme to ensure smooth servicedelivery.
- Manage client scheduling and monitor slot utilisation to optimise service capacity and reduce idle sessions.
- Deploy CR staff based on competency, suitability, and case complexity to ensure appropriate care delivery.
- Monitor and maintain staff competency through supervision, training identification, and performance review.
- Ensure CR staff profiles, credentials, and documentation comply with MOH requirements.
- Review and update CR SOPs in accordance with the latest MOH circulars and regulatory changes.
- Monitor and follow up on CR subvention updates, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
- Lead preparation and coordination for MOH audits, ensuring documentation and processes are audit-ready.
Other Duties
- Propose, implement, and evaluate CR Quality Improvement (QI) projects to enhance service effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Discipline Head to develop and review CR Clinical Guidelines in line with best practices.
- Participate in outreach initiatives and external collaborations to promote CR services and partnerships.
Qulifications & Skills Required
- A recognised Degree in rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational therapy
- Experienced in managing a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, therapy aides
- Previous experience working in an elderly care setting with person-centred care approach is an advantage
- Preferably at least 5 years experience in similar position
