Objectives of the Position
In accordance with the strategies, policies and procedures to implement and optimize product portfolio to support the realization of short and mid-term business strategic objectives (achievement of market share, sales turnover, contribution (global production) and profitability.
Main Tasks
Execute regional product positioning
- Lead country and customer-specific definition of target price levels based on rock-bottom prices set by Asset Product Management
- Provide guidance to regional/local sales force in pricing execution and support pricing and negotiation activities of sales team
- Monitor implementation of defined prices levels on region/country and customer level
- Monitor margin development on the regional level
- Ensure cross-regional alignment and harmonization of target prices
- Decision competency on country and customer target prices
Execute regional portfolio management
- Support portfolio management for Human Nutrition products through sharing of insights and implementation of global guidelines
- Lead definition and implementation of approved adjustments to specifications on regional level
- Identify regional needs for traded products to complement portfolio and find adequate sources, ensure commercial viability, audit quality and specifications
- Support tolling activities (per global volume and pricing guidelines) and support SCM in daily operative (e.g. technical issues)
Execute and plan regional/local volume allocation
- Lead inventory planning process
and align with Supply Chain on safety stock - Provide regional sales forecasts, prices and demand with sales team
Support product budgeting process
- Provide regional budget to Asset Product Management by product, based on growth and market price
- Contribute through execution of the agreed budget
Support product sampling process to customers
- Lead regional sampling process for pre-defined samples
- Support coordination of regional sampling, provide customer feedback from Sales Team to Application Experts, R&D and Asset Product Management
Support new business development
- Lead regional and support global new business development activities through execution, customer visits and coordination with Application Experts, Marketing, Asset PM and Global Application Technology
- Provide information on potential partnerships and contribute daily operative activities
- Support Regional Marketing and Communication in planning of trade fairs
Identify regional business and competitor intelligence
- Lead collection of market and competitor intelligence for product positioning (e.g., price levels)
- Share market and competitor intelligence within Human Nutrition organization
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Business or other related field
. - 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen in pricing, portfolio management, and market positioning.
- Familiarity with Human Nutrition, Food Ingredients, or related industries is an advantage.
