The Compliance and AML Quality Assurance manager is responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness, accuracy, and consistency of the Bank's Compliance and AML operations. It serves as a critical control layer between 1LoD, 2LoD and senior management.
Job Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Reviews
- Conduct periodic testing and sampling of AML/Compliance activities including transaction monitoring alerts, KYC/CDD files, STR filings, and screening dispositions to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies
- Identify deficiencies, gaps, or errors in compliance and AML controls and escalate findings with recommended remediation actions
Policy & Procedure Compliance
- Verify that all compliance and AML processes align with internal policies, MAS regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Metrics and Reporting
- Develop and maintain QA scorecards, track trends in deficiency rates, and report findings to senior management through committee meetings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Law, Accountancy, Economics, Business or equivalent in a recognized tertiary institution
- Minimum 8-10 years relevant work experience
- Added advantage to those who have ACAMS, CACS, FRM &/or CFA
- Possesses good command of both written and conversational language abilities will have added advantage as this role requires direct corresponding and reporting to our Head Office in Taiwan
- Reviewing and testing compliance files, alerts or cases
- Identifying errors, gaps, and control weaknesses
- Documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
