Project Manager

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of electrical and railway infrastructure projects ,ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and incompliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

. Manage and control all project activities from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.

. Liaise with clients, operators, consultants, and internal management to achieve project objectives and meet contractual performance requirements.

. Attend and lead SWC and subcontractor coordination meetings to resolve technical, commercial, and site issues.

. Oversee all onsite and offsite construction activities to ensure adherence to approved schedules, quality standards, and applicable authority regulations.

. Review project scope, schedules, and deliverables prepare detailed cost estimates and manage cost controls.

. Negotiate contract terms, draft and administer contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licences.

. Identify, analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Preparation & Planning

. Prepare and present method statements to Clients and relevant authorities (e.g. SBST,LTA, SMRT).

. Develop detailed installation Programmes, risk assessments, technical documentation, and as-built drawings.

. Prepare subcontractor scopes of work and tender documentation.

. Monitor progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for submission to management and clients.

Technical Knowledge & Experience

. Strong knowledge and experience in installation and testing of:

o Intake, service, rectifier, and inverter transformers

o GIS (SF₆)switchgear, bus ducts, DC panels, distribution boards

o ITB interface panels, batteries, and battery chargers

. Experience in 22kV HV cable installation, termination, and testing, including control cables and associated containment systems such as conduits, cable trays, viaduct cable brackets, and ladders.

. Experience in HV cable jointing and conducting high-potential (Hi-Pot) testing.

. Ability to conduct contact resistance testing of bus bars and SF₆ dew point testing of GIS panels.

. Familiarity with fire-stopping works within station and infrastructure environments.

Requirements

. Proven experience in managing electrical works for LTA / MRT or similar railway infrastructure projects.

. Strong understanding of railway electrical systems and standards.

. Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

. Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors effectively.
