Overview

NES Fircroft is recruiting Electrical Engineers to support ongoing power transmission and distribution projects in Singapore.

This role is ideal for engineers with hands-on experience in HV substations, switchgear, and transformer systems, with exposure to installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of HV/EHV substation and transmission projects (66kV-400kV)
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of:GIS / AIS switchgearPower transformersShunt reactorsProtection and control systems
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with technical standards
  • Prepare and review technical documentation including test reports and drawings
  • Perform troubleshooting and support fault analysis during commissioning
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients for project delivery
  • Ensure adherence to safety, QA/QC, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience in power T&D or substation projects
  • Hands-on experience in HV systems (66kV and above)
  • Experience in testing and commissioning activities is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with protection relays and substation systems
  • Ability to work on-site across Singapore projects

Overview

NES Fircroft is hiring a GIS Switchgear Engineer to support high-voltage substation projects across Singapore.

The role focuses on the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems within HV/EHV substations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of GIS systems (66kV-400kV)
  • Perform SF gas handling, filling, and leak testing procedures
  • Conduct electrical testing including insulation resistance, partial discharge, and high-voltage tests
  • Support FAT and SAT activities for GIS equipment
  • Troubleshoot GIS system faults and perform corrective maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and international standards
  • Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and project teams on site activities
  • Prepare technical reports, commissioning records, and documentation

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-10 years of experience working with GIS switchgear in HV substations
  • Hands-on experience with installation, testing, and commissioning of GIS systems
  • Familiarity with HV testing methods and safety procedures
  • Experience working on EPC or substation projects preferred
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel within Singapore
