Job Scope:
You will contribute to the public transport fare policy review and regulatory functions by engaging stakeholders, developing policy options, performing data analysis, drafting policy documents, and collaborating with government agencies to ensure effective policy implementation.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with industry players to develop fare policy options that balance affordability and financial sustainability of the public transport system
- Perform statistical analysis and apply data-driven techniques to inform policy formulation and review
- Draft clear, well-structured policy papers and review relevant legislation to support regulatory functions
- Collaborate closely with other government agencies and regulated entities to coordinate and ensure successful policy implementation
- Apply strategic thinking to independently manage tasks and contribute effectively under pressure within a team environment
- Communicate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations
Requirements:
- Knowledge or experience in economics or finance applied to public policy formulation and development
- Practical experience in statistical analysis and/or proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated through data interpretation and policy evaluation
- Effective writing and presentation skills tailored to policy and regulatory contexts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration

- Working schedule: Mondays to Thursdays, 8:30 am - 6:00 pm Fridays, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Working location: Alexandra Road
- Salary range: $3,050 to $6,250 (indicative remuneration based on candidate evaluation)
