The Manager (Planning) plays a key role in driving SIT's institutional planning and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Planning and Risk, the role coordinates institution wide strategic projects, translates strategic directions into coherent plans, policies and deliverables and will play a key role as part of SIT's annual planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Institutional Initiatives
    • Lead the coordination for selected SIT-wide initiatives.
    • Project manage these SIT-wide initiatives to ensure timely delivery to meet major milestones.
    • Drive research, environmental scanning, market and policy analysis to inform institutional strategy.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of strategic initiatives and projects.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management or external stakeholders (Board of Trustees or MOE) on the progress of strategic initiatives of the university.
  • Communication and Engagement
    • Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders across academic and administrative units to align strategies and workplans.
    • Manage engagement with external stakeholders including MOE and other government agencies on planning related matters.
  • Secretariat Function
    • Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up for various management committees.
    • Plan and drive the agenda for key management committees.
    • Review and brief Chairpersons on meeting materials.
  • University-level Events Management
    • Lead team to plan and delivery of major university events with predominately internal stakeholders (e.g., SIT Day, Management Retreat).
    • Manage and develop materials that are across groups and divisions for the purpose of the event.
  • Any other duties such as participating in internal division workgroups/taskforces to improve work processes and team engagement.
Job Requirements

  • Proven track record with at least 5 years experience in strategic planning, corporate planning, project management or public sector environment.
  • Prior experience and understanding of education industry and Singapore government policy-making would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong ability to develop and manage working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and proactive, as well as a positive attitude to innovate and comfortable with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
