Job Description

Key Purpose of the Job:

The Manager, Planning Analytics supports Global Supply Planning by translating business needs into operational analytics, tools, and insights that enable effective decision making. The role drives day to day analytical execution, enhances data quality, and provides actionable recommendations to improve global supply chain performance.

This position also oversees an analytics team in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring consistent delivery of high quality reporting and planning support.

Key Area of Responsibility:

1. Operational Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain standardized dashboards, reports, and data models to support global supply planning activities.
  • Conduct detailed analysis on demand signals, supply plan, purchase orders, and capacity planning and material planning.
  • Identify trends, risks, and operational bottlenecks; provide clear insights and recommended actions to stakeholders.
  • Validate data integrity and ensure accurate, timely outputs across multiple systems.

2. Planning Decision Support

  • Support purchase optimization initiatives and PO management processes.
  • Execute operational elements of supply planning models and capacity planning tools.
  • Partner closely with cross functions teams logistics, product supply, and planning teams to consolidate inputs and facilitate alignment.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of two located remotely in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and skill development support.
  • Ensure consistent work standards, alignment with global planning priorities, and strong collaboration across locations.

4. Data Governance & Systems Support

  • Maintain and enhance data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics infrastructure under guidance of the Senior Manager.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and coordinate fixes with IT or crossfunctional partners.
  • Support the documentation of data definitions, process standards, and reporting guides.

5. CrossFunctional Partnership

  • Work with GSP, sourcing, logistics, finance, and brand/ regional planning to support daytoday operations.
  • Present insights in clear, concise formats suitable for operational stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects that drive supply chain efficiency and cost optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 68 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, analytics, or operations.
  • Minimum 12 years of supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Experience working in multinational or regional teams a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python/R, KNIME, Power Automate, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with data modelling and cloudbased analytics platforms.
  • ERP planning experience (e.g., SAP) preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in purchase optimization and capacity planning.

  • Exposure to global supply chain operations and manufacturing processes.
