Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Partnership Development & Fundraising

  • Take the lead in outbound business development, actively sourcing, approaching and pitching to new corporate partners, foundations and individual donors to secure partnerships.
  • Help drive sponsorship and fundraising efforts across AHG's key platforms, including the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA), Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) and year-round programmes.
  • Develop and deliver compelling, tailored proposals and pitches that align partners business objectives with AHG's artistic vision and impact.
  • Proactively originate new partnership ideas, demonstrating creativity and commercial acumen in unlocking opportunities.

Account Management & Stewardship

  • Own and deepen relationships with key partners, ensuring a high standard of delivery, engagement and retention.
  • Execute end-to-end partner fulfilment, including acknowledgments, ticketing, hospitality and reporting, with strong attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Support and deliver meaningful partner engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships and enhance partner experience.

Strategy, Pipeline & Performance

  • Build, manage and actively grow a robust pipeline of prospects, with clear tracking of progress and conversion.
  • Analyse market trends and partner landscapes to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, contributing to revenue targets and KPIs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of partnerships.
  • Navigate internal processes confidently, including approvals, agreements and compliance requirements, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partners, prospects and agreements.
  • Support budgeting, invoicing and documentation related to partnerships, ensuring strong financial and administrative discipline.
  • Quickly grasp and operate within internal SOPs while identifying opportunities to streamline and improve processes.

Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial mindset with proven experience in sales, business development or partnerships, ideally in a corporate environment.
  • Proven outreach mindset in business development or fundraising, with a track record of independently sourcing, pitching and closing opportunities — not just managing inbound or existing accounts.
  • Relentless drive and self-motivation. Operates with urgency, takes initiative without prompting and consistently pushes work forward. Does not wait for direction or perfect conditions to act.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and high-volume pitching. Actively identifies, approaches and engages prospective donors and partners through multiple channels. Not afraid of rejection and able to persist with resilience.
  • Strong commercial instincts and sharp judgement, with the ability to quickly assess opportunities, prioritise high-value prospects, and convert conversations into tangible outcomes.
  • Compelling communicator and confident presenter, able to craft and deliver persuasive pitches tailored to different stakeholders, including senior executives and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative partnership ideas.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in stakeholder management, with strong interpersonal skills and professional presence.
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable, able to quickly understand and navigate processes and systems.
  • Experience in partnerships, fundraising, communications, sales or business development preferred; prior arts or non-profit experience is not required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the Arts, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, partnerships or account management
  • Demonstrated track record in driving revenue, securing partnerships or managing key client relationships.
  • Strong interest in the arts and culture sector; prior experience in the non-profit or arts sector is not required but would be an advantage.

Additional Information

  • This is a 2-year contract position.
