About the Role

The Manager, Media Performance is a high-impact analytical and communicative role responsible for transforming complex, cross-platform data into clear, high-stakes narratives. You will serve as the primary architect of data storytelling, delivering insights that inform internal business cases and drive external partner success.

This role requires a proactive approach to cross-functional stakeholder management to ensure a unified view of performance. You must have the versatility to present your findings to various audiences, ranging from senior leadership to operational teams, with the ability to justify the strategic logic behind how the data is structured to meet specific objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal Business Health & Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Data Acquisition: Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate organizational structures and obtain the necessary data required to build a holistic view of the media ecosystem.
  • Strategic Narrative Design: Synthesize raw performance data into tailored briefings that support internal business cases, ensuring clarity and relevance for senior leadership.
  • Methodological Justification: Present findings to internal stakeholders with the ability to articulate and defend the rationale behind the chosen data structure and narrative flow.
  • Trend & Performance Modeling: Analyze historical patterns to provide context for current business performance and identify emerging growth opportunities.

2. External Partner Success & Account Evolution

  • Versatile Campaign Storytelling: Orchestrate the delivery of comprehensive post-campaign analyses for external partners (clients and agencies), ensuring the narrative is effective for both executive stakeholders and operational working crew teams.
  • Objective-Led Insights: Translate cross-channel results into a cohesive story that links directly back to the partner's specific business objectives and campaign KPIs.
  • Strategic Growth Identification: Leverage campaign insights to identify untapped opportunities for partners, providing data-backed recommendations that drive account growth and long-term investment.
  • Audience Intelligence: Translate unified audience data into deep behavioral insights, helping partners understand the specific personas engaging with their brand.

Requirements

Competencies & Expertise

  • Advanced Narrative Craft: Mastery of the art of professional storytelling, with a focus on visual clarity and the ability to pivot narrative style based on the audience (e.g., strategic for executives vs. technical for operational teams).
  • Strategic Presentation & Facilitation: Proven ability to present complex insights to diverse groups, explaining the why behind data choices and narrative prioritization to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Cross-Functional Navigation: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization, facilitating the flow of information and overcoming data silos.
  • Unified Measurement Literacy: A deep understanding of how to measure and attribute success across a diverse media landscape, ensuring that all touchpoints are accurately reflected in the story.
  • Analytical Distillation: The ability to filter through vast amounts of information to find the signal in the noise, providing concise summaries that highlight clear paths for future account expansion.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience in a media agency, digital publisher or ad tech.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an insightful professional who thrives at the intersection of data science and strategic communication. You are someone who finds the so what within the numbers and can present it with the polish and confidence required for high-stakes briefings.

You are a proactive collaborator who can navigate organizational structures to get the data you need, and a strategic thinker who can stand behind your work, explaining why a specific narrative is the most effective way to drive a specific internal or external business outcome.
