Role Overview
The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for planning and delivering integrated marketing and communications for three distinct education portfolios within NAFA: the School of Young Talent (SYT), Arts Preschool (APS), and the Centre for Lifelong Education (CLE).
This is an opportunity to shape marketing for three distinct education growth areas within NAFA, spanning youth development, early arts education and lifelong learning.
This role reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and works closely with portfolio leads and internal stakeholders to support awareness, enquiries, enrolment, participation and audience engagement across the three portfolios.
The role is suited for a marketing professional who is comfortable balancing planning and execution, enjoys working across different audience segments, and can partner effectively with both internal teams and external agencies to deliver campaigns and content that are clear, targeted and aligned with NAFA's brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Planning and Campaign Delivery
- Develop and implement marketing and communications plans for SYT, APS and CLE, aligned with programme priorities and business objectives.
- Support key recruitment, enrolment, outreach and promotional campaigns across the three portfolios.
- Work with portfolio leads to understand audience needs, programme priorities and campaign requirements.
- Manage campaign timelines, deliverables and marketing calendars to ensure coordinated execution.
- Track campaign outcomes and recommend practical improvements based on performance and audience response.
2. Content, Messaging and Marketing Collateral
- Develop clear and audience-appropriate messaging for programmes, courses and initiatives.
- Work with internal stakeholders to produce marketing content and collateral across digital and print platforms.
- Support the development of audience-facing content such as programme highlights, student stories, event promotions and outreach materials.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone and brand application across the three portfolios.
3. Digital Marketing and Agency Management
- Work with appointed social media and digital marketing agencies to support campaign planning, execution and optimisation.
- Prepare campaign briefs, review copy and creative assets, and ensure agency outputs are aligned with objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and agency partners on marketing activities across web, social media, email and paid channels where relevant.
- Monitor campaign delivery and performance, and work with agencies to improve results over time.
4. Stakeholder Support and Programme Marketing
- Serve as the main marketing contact within MCO for the SYT, APS and CLE teams.
- Provide marketing support for programme launches, outreach initiatives and audience engagement efforts.
- Support the marketing and communications for programme-level events, workshops, showcases, talks and short courses.
- Work closely with programme teams, who retain ownership of programme operations and event logistics, while this role focuses on marketing and communications planning and delivery.
5. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare regular updates on campaign performance, audience engagement and key marketing activities.
- Use available data and feedback to refine future campaigns and strengthen marketing effectiveness.
- Contribute to a more coordinated and audience-focused approach to portfolio marketing across the three units.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline.
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications or related roles.
- Proven experience planning and running marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Experience working with external agencies, particularly in social media and digital marketing.
- Strong writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with good judgement and attention to detail.
- Experience in higher education, lifelong learning, arts, enrichment, public sector or related sectors would be an advantage.
