Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Digital Content & Cinema Systems Operations

Manage digital content ingest, playlist creation, and scheduling using cinema servers (DCP, TMS/LMS)
Ensure accurate programming and timely playback of films, trailers, and advertisements
Coordinate the delivery, availability, and dispatch of digital film packages (DCPs and KDMs)
Operate and monitor digital projection and AV systems during screenings

Projection, AV & VR Operations

  • Set up, operate, and monitor digital projection, sound, and automation systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve projection, audio, and system automation issues promptly

  • Set up and operate AV systems for live, VR, and hybrid events

  • Manage signal routing and live video/audio feeds during events

  • Support and operate VR systems, including headsets, sensors, and related equipment

  • Collaborate with lighting and audio teams for AVL configuration, testing, and rehearsals

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

  • Perform regular equipment checks, basic maintenance, and calibration of cinema and AV equipment

  • Coordinate repairs and follow up with vendors or service providers as required

  • Ensure technical maintenance, safety checks, and compliance with operational standards

Documentation, Planning & Coordination

  • Maintain technical documentation, safety procedures, and inventory records

  • Liaise with internal teams and senior management on technical operations and event coordination

  • Support planning and execution of screenings, events, and technical schedules

Team Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise technical and projection staff, including roster planning and task allocation

  • Provide training, guidance, and on-the-job coaching to team members

  • Address staff conduct issues and ensure adherence to workplace discipline and standards

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Film Technology, Electronics, AV Engineering, IT, or a related technical field

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cinema projection operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Strong technical knowledge of cinema projection systems and related equipment

  • Proven experience operating and maintaining digital cinema projection systems

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently

  • Familiarity with digital and film projection formats

  • Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision capabilities

  • Experience managing schedules, rosters, and maintenance plans

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Good understanding of workplace discipline, safety, and emergency protocols

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle crisis situations calmly

  • High attention to detail and strong presentation standards

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work under pressure, especially during live screenings or events

  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage responsibilities independently

  • Willing to work flexible shift hours, including weekends, public holidays, and late nights

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment when required
