RESPONSIBILITIES

About the Role

Allkin Singapore believes in the power of community to drive change. As a community-centric social service agency, we work alongside individuals, families, and communities to create opportunities, strengthen support networks, and build a culture of care and contribution.

We are looking for a strategic and people-centred Manager, Internal Communications & Engagement to lead Allkin's internal communications and employee engagement efforts. This role will shape how employees understand, connect with, and contribute to the organisation's mission, culture, and priorities. Working closely with senior leadership, HR, and divisions across the organisation, you will play a key role in strengthening organisational alignment, supporting culture change, enhancing employee engagement, and building internal communications capability across Allkin. This role will report to the Head, Strategic Communications & Partnerships, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Internal Communications Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and implement Allkin's organisation-wide internal communications strategy and editorial calendar.
  • Establish communications governance, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate organisation-wide announcements and strategic communications across multiple channels.
  1. Leadership & Organisational Communications
  • Partner senior leaders to communicate organisational priorities, decisions, and developments clearly and effectively.
  • Develop leadership messages, presentations, townhall content, FAQs, and communication materials.
  • Strengthen leadership visibility and employee connection through meaningful communications and engagement initiatives
  1. Culture, Change & Employee Engagement
  • Support culture transformation, organisational change, and employee engagement initiatives in partnership with HR and key stakeholders.
  • Translate organisational and people strategies into compelling narratives that help employees understand and embrace change.
  • Design engagement approaches that build awareness, understanding, adoption, and sustained behavioural change.
  1. Employee Engagement, Storytelling & Events
  • Lead employee engagement campaigns, staff communications, townhalls, leadership dialogues, and organisation-wide engagement initiatives.
  • Develop impactful stories that showcase Allkin's work, recognise staff contributions, and strengthen organisational culture.
  • Create opportunities for two-way communication and employee feedback.
  1. Internal Communications Capability Building
  • Develop playbooks, toolkits, templates, and guidelines to strengthen communication practices across the organisation.
  • Coach and support leaders, managers, and divisional representatives in effective communication and employee engagement.
  • Build a network of internal communications champions to improve information flow and knowledge sharing.
  1. Channels, Content & Measurement
  • Manage Allkin's internal communications channels, including SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, newsletters, and leadership communications.
  • Monitor employee feedback, engagement, and communications effectiveness.
  • Use insights and data to continuously improve communications strategies and employee experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or Diploma in Communications, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, HR, organisational development, change management, or related fields.

Skills, Competencies and Attributes:

  • Proven experience developing and implementing communications or employee engagement strategies in a complex organisation.
  • Strong experience working with senior leaders and advising on organisational communications.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and the ability to communicate sensitively during periods of change.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to build communications capability across teams.
  • Digital fluency and familiarity with internal communications platforms and Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, and Viva Engage.
  • Strategic and organisationally minded
  • Passionate about helping employees connect with organisational purpose, culture, and impact.
