Job Description

Information Technology Department

The Information Technology Department architects and operates the digital foundation powering Vantage Data Centers global operations while pioneering the intelligent transformation of how we work. Our integrated IT/AI organization delivers enterprise-grade infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and end-user services with operational excellence, while simultaneously developing artificial intelligence capabilities that drive measurable business value. We are transforming our service delivery model around ITIL best practices, comprehensive automation frameworks, and governance structures that enable both stability and innovation. Our teams collaborate across Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk, IT Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence functions, emphasizing service over technology and recognizing that success is measured by business outcomes rather than technical implementations. This is an exceptional time to join as we fundamentally reshape how technology serves the organization, creating an environment where operational discipline and innovative experimentation work as complementary forces.

Infrastructure Team

The Infrastructure team designs, deploys, and operates the foundational technology platforms that power business operations across our global footprint. This includes enterprise-grade datacenter services spanning compute, storage, virtualization, and database systems, hybrid cloud infrastructure management, and comprehensive lifecycle management from deployment through decommissioning. Through strategic standardization, automation, and proactive capacity planning, the team creates a reliable foundation that reduces operational risk, optimizes resource utilization, and accelerates the organization's ability to respond to market opportunities.

Position Overview

Vantage is seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager, Infrastructure for the Asia Pacific region. This role provides dedicated regional infrastructure leadership, eliminating cross-timezone escalation dependencies and establishing clear ownership of standards implementation, lifecycle management, and operational reliability across the growing APAC data center portfolio.

The Manager, Infrastructure, APAC addresses the most significant structural gap in the current organization: the absence of a dedicated regional infrastructure leader who can coordinate across sites, make informed decisions within established frameworks, and serve as the escalation point for infrastructure matters during APAC business hours.

Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure, Global, this role operates within the global infrastructure organization while maintaining the regional autonomy necessary to respond to local business requirements with appropriate speed and contextual understanding. The manager will oversee a growing team of Infrastructure Engineers across Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and future APAC markets including Australia and Japan, ensuring consistent service delivery aligned with global standards. his is fundamentally a leadership role that balances technical depth with operational management.

Essential Job Functions

· Lead and manage the APAC Infrastructure Engineering team across multiple sites and countries, providing day-to-day operational oversight, career development, performance management, and technical mentorship to ensure a high-performing, resilient team.

· Own regional infrastructure operations including server hardware, virtualization platforms (Broadcom VCF), storage systems, and hybrid cloud environments (Microsoft Azure), ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and adherence to defined SLAs across all APAC data center and office locations.

· Drive the regional execution of Project Elevate, implementing predictable lifecycle management with defined refresh cycles, standardized configurations, and proactive capacity planning that eliminates reactive hardware failures and ensures operational continuity.

· Implement and maintain global reference architectures and infrastructure standards across all APAC sites, targeting three to four standardized device configurations to eliminate configuration drift and create economies of scale for efficient multi-site support.

· Serve as the regional escalation point for infrastructure incidents during APAC business hours, coordinating cross-functional resolution efforts with Network and Service Desk teams, and maintaining clear communication cadences with stakeholders during major events.

· Plan and execute infrastructure requirements for new site activations across APAC, developing standardized deployment playbooks and coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure IT readiness aligns with facility commissioning timelines.

· Prepare for and execute the Server 2025 rollout across APAC infrastructure, coordinating proof-of-concept testing, migration planning, and deployment in alignment with the global infrastructure roadmap.

· Manage regional vendor relationships for infrastructure hardware, maintenance contracts, and managed service partnerships, ensuring service quality, cost optimization, and alignment with global enterprise agreements.

· Collaborate closely with the Network and Service Desk managers in APAC to ensure cross-functional alignment, reflecting the unified engine model where Infrastructure, Network, and Service Desk operate as interdependent components of an integrated system.

· Contribute to the development of automation workflows and self-healing mechanisms for repeatable infrastructure failure scenarios, treating manual intervention as technical debt to be systematically eliminated.

· Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, knowledge articles, and operational procedures that enable consistent service delivery regardless of which team member responds to a given situation.

· Provide regular reporting on infrastructure health, capacity trends, lifecycle status, and operational metrics to regional and global leadership, contributing APAC data to the unified CIO financial and operational dashboards.

· Support the cultural integration of IT Construction resources into the broader APAC IT organization, fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring construction knowledge informs operational infrastructure planning.

· Embed documentation-first and security-first principles into all infrastructure operations, ensuring compliance with corporate IT policies, information security requirements, and regulatory obligations relevant to each APAC operating jurisdiction.

· Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

· Support strategic planning, risk management, and audit readiness for infrastructure operations.

· Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

· 7-10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, including server administration, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud environments, with at least 3-5 years in a people management or team lead role.

· Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure across multiple sites or geographies, ideally within data center, colocation, or hyperscale environments, with a strong understanding of operational challenges in distributed teams.

· Deep technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies including VMware/Broadcom VCF, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise storage platforms, with hands-on experience in lifecycle management and capacity planning.

· Strong understanding of ITIL service management principles, particularly incident management, change management, and configuration management, with practical experience using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.

· Experience implementing infrastructure standardization programs, reference architectures, and automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across diverse environments.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as an effective escalation point, translating technical complexity into business language for stakeholders, and coordinating cross-functional resolution efforts during incidents.

· Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and oversee third-party delivery to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

· Experience supporting new facility builds or data center commissioning projects, with understanding of how IT infrastructure requirements integrate with construction and facilities timelines.

· Strong alignment with Vantage's cultural values: no ego, no arrogance, strong teamwork, transparent communication, and commitment to both individual excellence and collaborative achievement.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, ITIL) are valued.

· Willingness to travel across APAC markets (estimated 10-15%) to support site operations, new deployments, and team development. Flexibility to provide occasional after-hours support for critical incidents.

· Experience working across diverse APAC markets with cultural awareness and adaptability to different business practices, regulatory environments, and vendor ecosystems.
