The Growth Strategy and Planning team sits within User Growth and is responsible for driving transacting user growth across Grab's markets.
We work across two core areas:
- Market planning: partnering with country teams to monitor user performance, diagnose funnel issues, and shape user growth priorities.
- Regional growth strategy and initiatives: defining and driving region-wide growth initiatives in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Ops, Business, and Product).
Get to know the Role
We are seeking a Growth Strategy and Planning Manager to join our team. In this role, you will drive user growth by combining performance monitoring with hands-on strategy development and execution.
You will oversee user performance for a set of markets, support quarterly growth planning, and own regional growth projects end-to-end - from opportunity sizing and strategy definition through to GTM design and execution.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
You will report to the Regional Head of Growth Strategy and Planning.
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of experience in user growth, strategy consulting, or related roles in a tech or fast-paced environment
- You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-structuring skills, with experience using data to diagnose performance issues, derive actionable insights, and influence decisions (SQL knowledge is a plus)
- You have a proven track record of driving projects end-to-end, from strategy design to execution
- You are able to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges
- You have experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct ownership
- You have outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- You have experience supervising a small team and breaking down ambiguous problem statements into concrete tasks
