Job FunctionBusiness Development
Job SummaryThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, leading strategic pursuits, and securing new business across diversified sectors, including but not limited to Aviation, Government, Healthcare and other regulated or complex industries. The role demands strong commercial leadership, the ability to build and convert a highquality sales pipeline, and proven experience in steering multifunctional teams toward winning outcomes. It spans the full commercial lifecycle, from prospecting to contract award, delivering newlogo revenue while cultivating longterm customer relationships.
The ideal candidate is a highly driven sales leader with strong B2B solution-selling experience (preferably in 3PL / 4PL or adjacent industries) and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies in diverse and complex customer environments.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
Sales Leadership and Revenue Growth
Drive targeted sales strategy, thought leadership, and go-to-market execution.
Lead sales cycles from prospecting through deal closure across the industry.
Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and accelerate revenue growth.
Establish and manage KPIs for sales pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
Market & Pipeline Development
Build, manage, and grow a qualified pipeline across identified industry sectors.
Conduct market scans to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and whitespace opportunities.
Create and execute structured outreach plans that drive senior-level customer engagement.
Opportunity Leadership
Lead qualification, solution shaping, commercial strategy, and negotiation activities.
Guide cross-functional teams to ensure solution alignment and sales pursuit excellence.
Lead RFI/RFP responses, solution narratives, commercial modelling, and bid governance.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build strong relationships across decision makers within customer organizations.
Represent ST Logistics in solution reviews, commercial negotiations, and executive presentations.
Collaborate closely with internal leadership to shape winning and scalable offerings.
Governance, Forecasting & Reporting
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and ensure CRM data discipline.
Ensure compliance with pricing frameworks, internal approvals, and documentation requirements.
Track KPIs such as pipeline growth, pursuit progression, win rate, and GP contribution.
Job RequirementsProfessional Qualifications & Relevant Experience Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent professional qualifications) with at least 7 years of relevant experience in sales and business development
Diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience in sales and business development
Proven ability to lead sales teams or major sales pursuits in enterprise B2B environments.
Strong background in 3PL/4PL solution design, costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Ability to lead RFQ/RFP/tender submissions with competitive and compliant proposals.
Experience in healthcare contract logistics with strong exposure to Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical supply chains, including GDP/GMP, cold-chain and quality systems.
Experience with MRO logistics, bonded warehousing, aircraft spares lifecycle, aviation compliance
Experience with public procurement, national programs, or regulated operational environments.
