Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing and optimising the finance systems landscape across the APAC region, with a primary focus on Oracle EPBCS and related planning, forecasting, and reporting solutions.
The position serves as the regional owner for finance system administration, master data governance, process optimisation, and planning system best practices. The role will ensure data integrity, improve system connectivity and automation, support finance transformation initiatives, and assist with the implementation and enhancement of enterprise finance technologies.
A key focus of the role will be improving integration between operational and financial data, reducing manual processes, strengthening master data governance, and enabling scalable planning and reporting capabilities across the region.
The role partners closely with FP&A, Finance, HR, Operations, IT, and Corporate Finance Systems teams to ensure finance systems effectively support business planning, reporting, and decision-making requirements.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Finance Systems Administration & Governance
- Serve as the APAC system administrator and primary regional subject matter expert for Oracle EPBCS and related planning applications.
- Maintain system structures, hierarchies, dimensions, metadata, business rules, workflows, and security models.
- Ensure planning systems are operating effectively, accurately, and in accordance with established governance standards.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, operating procedures, and governance standards.
Master Data Management
- Own regional finance master data processes across planning and reporting environments.
- Maintain and govern organisational structures, cost centres, business units, entities, account hierarchies, and other finance-related master data elements.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards to improve consistency, accuracy, and system integrity.
- Ensure master data changes are appropriately reviewed, approved, documented, and implemented.
- Partner with Finance, HR, Operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment of master data across systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality and reduce manual maintenance activities.
Systems Integration & Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve system connectivity, automation, and data flow between finance and operational platforms.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to streamline interfaces, eliminate manual processes, and improve overall process efficiency.
- Support the integration of operational drivers including headcount, labour, productivity, volume, and other business metrics into planning systems.
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend technology-enabled solutions to increase efficiency and control.
- Support the development of scalable finance system solutions capable of supporting regional growth.
Planning & Reporting Enablement
- Provide systems support for monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes.
- Ensure finance systems are configured to support business planning requirements and corporate reporting standards.
- Assist FP&A teams with reporting, data extraction, analysis, and planning model enhancements.
- Support the development and maintenance of planning models, driver-based forecasts, and reporting solutions.
- Help improve reporting capabilities and support future expansion of Power BI and other analytics tools across the region.
- Ensure data used for planning and reporting is accurate, complete, and timely.
Systems Projects & Implementation Support
- Support regional and global finance transformation initiatives and system enhancement projects.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, configuration changes, and deployment activities.
- Assist with requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, training, and change management activities.
- Act as the finance systems representative for APAC on cross-functional project teams.
- Support adoption of new technologies, capabilities, and best practices across the finance organisation.
- Ensure implementation activities are aligned with business requirements and governance standards.
Stakeholder Partnership & User Support
- Build strong relationships with Finance, HR, Operations, IT, and Corporate teams.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to finance users across the region.
- Promote system best practices and standardised processes across APAC markets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for finance systems-related questions, issues, and enhancement requests.
- Communicate system changes, process updates, and governance requirements to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making.
Qualifications Summary
Experience:
- 5-8+ years of experience in Finance Systems, FP&A Systems, EPM Administration, Corporate Finance, or related roles.
- Strong experience with Oracle EPBCS, Hyperion Planning, Oracle EPM Cloud, or similar enterprise planning platforms.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management planning processes.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, and finance transformation initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
Skills:
- Demonstrated experience managing hierarchies, metadata, security, workflows, and system administration activities.
- Understanding of finance master data management and governance principles.
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across regional and global teams.
