We're looking for a Finance Manager to own the finance function for our hospitality business. This role sits close to hospitality operations — partnering directly with hotel leadership on day-to-day accounting and cost control.
This is a hands-on, business-facing finance role for someone who wants ownership of a full business unit's finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality Accounting & Operations Finance
- Own hotel-specific accounting, including room revenue recognition, occupancy reporting and F&B costing.
- Review PMS and OTA settlement data to ensure financial accuracy.
- Review recurring operational costs (e.g. F&B, service contracts and ad-hoc events), and provide cost-control recommendations to hotel management.
- Track pre-opening and project-related expenditure against approved budgets.
- Prepare statutory reports and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting and compliance.
- Prepare monthly revenue declarations and other compliance submissions to the airport authority.
Group Reporting
- Manage day-to-day financial activities and month end closing of the Company.
- Prepare and review of monthly/periodic management reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
Statutory & Audit
- Ensure financial records comply with local accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Review of tax computations, GST returns and liaise with tax agents on the tax matters of the Company.
- To oversee the year-end audit and ensuring that all financial returns are completed accurately and to the required timescale.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on finance related matters.
Team & Partnership
- Experience managing a small team
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
- At least 7 years of relevant finance and accounting experience (hospitality industry preferred), including experience in managing a full set of accounts, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience working within a group structure, preferably supporting multiple business units or entities.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Hands-on, independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be an advantage
