Lead, mentor, and develop engineers in improving equipment manufacturing availability, performing effective troubleshooting, resolving equipment-related issues, and driving yield-related investigations. Establish and maintain robust SPC, FDC, and qualification systems to detect equipment risks inline.
Define, track, and continuously improve key operational metrics across safety, cost, yield, quality, cycle time, output, and overall equipment performance.
Collaborate closely with Process, Process Integration, Manufacturing, and Production Planning teams to achieve site-level operational and HVM targets.
Serve as the primary representative for Fab10 in cross‑site forums such as CST teams and KEG, facilitating knowledge sharing, alignment, and deployment of lessons learned and new frontier learning.
Partner with equipment vendors and material suppliers to drive continuous improvement, implement BKMs, and conduct global benchmarking to ensure competitiveness across Micron sites.
Lead structured problem-solving activities within the department and across cross-functional teams to ensure timely, sustainable root‑cause resolution.
Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing engineering talent to build long‑term capability and prepare the next generation of Implant leadership.
Develop and strengthen organizational resilience by understanding team strengths and gaps, establishing growth plans, and building trust and engagement within the team.
Support technology roadmap execution, including process robustness improvements, new tool introductions, and alignment on global equipment configurations and standards.
Drive TPM/PM optimization and alignment with global SOPs to ensure equipment stability, PM success rates, and productivity improvements.
Ensure full compliance with EHS, quality systems, audit requirements, risk management expectations, and regulatory standards, working with EHS teams as required.
Lead capacity planning discussions, tool loading strategy, and operational readiness for ramps, new tool deployments, and capability expansions.
Champion cost management initiatives, including cost benchmarking, cost-down opportunities, and resource optimization in partnership with global and local teams.
Enable strong cross‑site and cross‑functional collaboration by maintaining relationships across Micron's manufacturing network, fostering best-practice sharing, and supporting multi-site problem solving.
Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, operational excellence, safety leadership, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong technical foundation in semiconductor equipment engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing operations.
Deep understanding of implant toolsets, equipment behavior, and equipment‑to‑process interactions
Minimum 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical leadership roles.
Proven track record in improving equipment availability, driving yield improvements, and resolving complex equipment‑related issues.
Experience working with global engineering networks, equipment CST teams, or cross‑site collaboration forums.
Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and retain engineering talent.
Ability to build a resilient, high‑performance team culture aligned with safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
