Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers in improving equipment manufacturing availability, performing effective troubleshooting, resolving equipment-related issues, and driving yield-related investigations. Establish and maintain robust SPC, FDC, and qualification systems to detect equipment risks inline.

  • Define, track, and continuously improve key operational metrics across safety, cost, yield, quality, cycle time, output, and overall equipment performance.

  • Collaborate closely with Process, Process Integration, Manufacturing, and Production Planning teams to achieve site-level operational and HVM targets.

  • Serve as the primary representative for Fab10 in cross‑site forums such as CST teams and KEG, facilitating knowledge sharing, alignment, and deployment of lessons learned and new frontier learning.

  • Partner with equipment vendors and material suppliers to drive continuous improvement, implement BKMs, and conduct global benchmarking to ensure competitiveness across Micron sites.

  • Lead structured problem-solving activities within the department and across cross-functional teams to ensure timely, sustainable root‑cause resolution.

  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing engineering talent to build long‑term capability and prepare the next generation of Implant leadership.

  • Develop and strengthen organizational resilience by understanding team strengths and gaps, establishing growth plans, and building trust and engagement within the team.

  • Support technology roadmap execution, including process robustness improvements, new tool introductions, and alignment on global equipment configurations and standards.

  • Drive TPM/PM optimization and alignment with global SOPs to ensure equipment stability, PM success rates, and productivity improvements.

  • Ensure full compliance with EHS, quality systems, audit requirements, risk management expectations, and regulatory standards, working with EHS teams as required.

  • Lead capacity planning discussions, tool loading strategy, and operational readiness for ramps, new tool deployments, and capability expansions.

  • Champion cost management initiatives, including cost benchmarking, cost-down opportunities, and resource optimization in partnership with global and local teams.

  • Enable strong cross‑site and cross‑functional collaboration by maintaining relationships across Micron's manufacturing network, fostering best-practice sharing, and supporting multi-site problem solving.

  • Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, operational excellence, safety leadership, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Strong technical foundation in semiconductor equipment engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing operations.

  • Deep understanding of implant toolsets, equipment behavior, and equipment‑to‑process interactions

  • Minimum 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical leadership roles.

  • Proven track record in improving equipment availability, driving yield improvements, and resolving complex equipment‑related issues.

  • Experience working with global engineering networks, equipment CST teams, or cross‑site collaboration forums.

  • Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and retain engineering talent.

  • Ability to build a resilient, high‑performance team culture aligned with safety, quality, and operational excellence.

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
