Manager, Entrepreneurship Development Programme

A young and research intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering, business, science, humanities, arts, social sciences, education and medicine. Ranked among the world's top universities, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) provides education within the University and the region.

The Manager, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), plays a critical role in leading the national agenda of continual education in NTU. This incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of growth strategy, and Business Development of EDP's iLead SME Growth Plans (iSGP), one of NTUpreneur's major CET courses for SMEs.

S/he will oversee and coordinate the development of new Continual Education Training (CET) courses of NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) design and execute effective marketing and promotion strategies seek and initiate the exploration of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as local and overseas industries, and government and quasi-government agencies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Co-lead with Senior Assistant Director (SAD, EDP) to plan and supervise the execution of EDP's business development plans

• Take charge of the high value iSGP packaged courses for micro SMEs.

• Plan marketing schedule and strategies to improve sales to increase the number of participants.

• Oversee and ensure the business performance and profitability of EDP.

• Facilitate the customisation and design package courses with faculty or Programme Director for targeted group of corporate customers.

• Plan and oversee the implementation of strategies for the excellence of EDP and NTUpreneur's reputation as the best CET provider in entrepreneurship in Singapore.

2. Oversee the implementation to ensure quality of course content and delivery

• Ensure relevance and quality of courses and instructors hired to teach these courses.

• Coordinate with NTUpreneur Academic Director, and NTU's Professional and Continual Education (PaCE) to oversee the onboarding of non-faculty such as instructors, mentors and industry partners.

• Analyse participants feedback, identify areas for improvement, implement and propose effective solutions.

• Oversee the operation and logistical arrangements of classes to create a positive learning experience and environment.

3. Plan and implementation of stakeholder engagement to enhance entrepreneurship network and ecosystem. Maintain NTUpreneur's standing as a leader in entrepreneurship education in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

• Oversee the implementation of stakeholder engagement activities and leverage their strengths and strong network for the benefit of NTU.

• Identify and facilitate the submission of grant application proposals to government and quasi-government agencies such as ESG.

• Oversee the submission of courses to SkillsFuture/SSG to secure funding support for participants.

4. Oversee the business development of iSGP, and implementation of effective marketing strategies, to increase public's awareness of NTUpreneur and market presence of its courses

• Oversee the business development strategies for iSGP and drive sales to increase SMEs enrolment into the high value programme.

• Design and implement effective marketing strategies, production of collaterals (multiple media: digital and large format print) to promote courses to a wide sector of audience, to increase participant numbers.

• Plan annual schedule of courses and market these courses in advance.

5. Oversee budget and expenditure plan for iSGP

• Oversee annual budget and expenditure for iSGP, and track business performance to ensure a healthy stream of revenue and profits.

• Plan and deploy resources effectively according to the University's guidelines.

• Prepare monthly financial reports and statistics for the Director, NTUpreneur and PaCE.

Requirements:

• Degree in business or entrepreneurship with at least 8 years of experience in leading CET programmes in Institute of Higher Learning or equivalent.

• Experience in working with the government/ quasi-government agencies and administering grant processes and overseeing auditing processes.

• Possess a good network consisting of entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and industry partners.

• Possess excellent writing and oral communication and presentation skills.
