Role Summary
This role will be responsible for delivering end-to-end data analytics solutions-translating business requirements into ADF pipelines, scalable models in Snowflake, and decision-ready visuals in Power BI-while leading developers to execute on time and to standard.
Job Description
. Engage stakeholders to define KPIs/definitions and translate requirements into technical designs.
. Build and operate ADF pipelines (incremental loads, error handling, scheduling) from enterprise sources (e.g., ERP/CRM/HRIS, files, APIs) into Snowflake.
. Design Snowflake data models (star schemas, curated/semantic layers), materialized views, performance tuning, and role-based access.
. Develop Power BI datasets/measures and reports (DAX, RLS, aggregations DirectQuery/Import as appropriate).
. Establish data quality checks, lineage, documentation, and refresh/usage monitoring.
. Lead developers: plan sprints, assign tasks, review code/PRs, enforce standards, manage timelines and risks.
. Drive adoption with enablement sessions and iterate based on feedback.
Job Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
. 5-8+ years in data engineering/BI with hands-on ADF, Snowflake, Power BI (Tableau nice-to-have).
. Strong SQL and dimensional modelling proven ELT/ETL design and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) for Dev/UAT/Prod.
. Experience translating business requirements into scalable data models and dashboards across multiple domains.
. Solid DAX and Power BI modelling (RLS, aggregations, performance tuning).
. Understanding of data security/privacy (PDPA/GDPR), secrets management (Key Vault), and least-privilege roles.
. Demonstrated ability to lead/mentor developers and manage outsourced vendors.
. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
. Bonus: Python for automation/QC certifications (Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake).
