Manager, Contract & Financial Governance

Job Summary

We're hiring a governance and operations professional to oversee contracts, budgets, and vendor performance across digital programmes. This role focuses on ensuring strong financial discipline, effective vendor management, and compliance with governance standards.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field;
• Must have at least 6-8 years of experience in contract management, finance, procurement, or governance roles;
• Strong experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and expenditure tracking;
• Proven track record in managing vendor contracts and performance;
• Good understanding of procurement processes, governance frameworks, and compliance standards.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience in public sector or large-scale programme environments;
• Background in audit, risk management, or internal controls;
• Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau);
• Experience supporting outreach, training, or community-based programmes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, evaluation, renewal, and termination;
• Oversee vendor performance, ensuring KPIs and service delivery standards are met;
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for contracts and programme operations;
• Manage programme budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis;
• Ensure compliance with procurement, financial, and audit requirements;
• Prepare reports on financial performance, governance, and risk indicators;
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, Legal) and external partners;
• Drive continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
