About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Assistant Manager / Manager, Compensation & Benefits to support the design and implementation of compensation structures and total rewards programmes that attract and retain talent. In this role, you will work on compensation processes and contribute to total rewards and recognition strategies across our healthcare organisation. If you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and influencing decisions through clear communication, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact. This role combines strategic design with hands-on implementation, ensuring our compensation, benefits, and recognition programmes motivate talent across all levels of our organisation. You will play a critical role in shaping our total rewards philosophy whilst ensuring flawless operational delivery.
Responsibilities
Compensation Administration
- You will manage end-to-end compensation processes including annual salary reviews, bonus administration, and ad-hoc adjustments.
- This includes ensuring accuracy in compensation calculations and administering pay changes in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- You will serve as the subject matter expert on compensation queries from employees and managers.
- You will provide input on compensation structures and benefits programmes based on industry benchmarks and organisational philosophy and ensure accurate execution of rewards processes within budget and policy guidelines.
Job Evaluation & Market Benchmarking
- You will conduct job evaluations using established frameworks to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- This involves analysing job content, determining appropriate job levels, and participating in salary surveys to benchmark our positions against the healthcare market.
- You will provide recommendations on job grading and salary positioning based on market data and organisational strategy.
Data Analysis & Insights
- You will analyse compensation and benefits data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- This includes preparing regular reports and dashboards on key metrics such as pay equity, turnover by compensation quartile, and cost analysis.
- You will translate data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and support evidence-based total rewards strategies.
- You will use data to analyse trends and provide insights to improve performance and rewards practices and communicate recommendations clearly and diplomatically to stakeholders.
Operational Delivery
- You will ensure seamless execution of all total rewards programmes and processes.
- This includes managing timelines, coordinating with payroll and finance teams, maintaining HRIS data integrity, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- You will manage day-to-day operations related to performance and rewards processes, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
- You will continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Development and Career Progression
- You will support career development initiatives by maintaining career frameworks, providing guidance on career pathways, and ensuring transparency in progression criteria.
- You will collaborate with learning and development teams to align total rewards with career development opportunities, helping employees understand how their growth connects to rewards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in total rewards, compensation and benefits, or HR analytics (experience level commensurate with seniority of role).
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools.
- Solid understanding of compensation principles including job evaluation methodologies and market pricing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of HR frameworks, compensation practices, and performance management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare or related industries.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processes.
