Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Community Advancement, the role will play a critical role in positioning Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) as a partner of choice for organisations seeking meaningful social impact aligned with business outcomes.
The responsibilities will go beyond traditional fundraising. You should possess strong business acumen, strong commercial instincts, and partnership-building experience, with the ability to unlock new funding sources, structure strategic collaborations, and position SCS as a partner of choice across corporates, foundations, family offices, and high-net-worth networks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Development & Management
- Identify and proactively engage potential partners across corporates, high-net-worth-individuals, foundations, and community networks.
- Assist in developing and securing high-value partnerships, including multi-year and strategic collaborations.
- Build and manage a portfolio of partners, ensuring strong relationship ownership, retention, and long-term value creation.
- Establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and position Singapore Cancer Society as a credible and impactful partner.
- Suggest and drive opportunities to deepen partner engagement across SCS programmes (e.g. screening, awareness, patient support services).
- Articulate partnerships as commercially sound, mutually beneficial propositions that deliver both business and impact outcomes.
2. Strategy and Proposition Management
- Propose and shape partnership strategies, concepts, and propositions to support partnership acquisition and growth.
- Design compelling partnership proposals with clear value exchange (e.g. brand alignment, community impact, engagement, ESG outcomes).
- Explore and develop sustainable funding models beyond donations (e.g. sponsorships, co-created programmes, cause-related campaigns, ecosystem partnerships).
- Lead discussions and support negotiations to structure partnership opportunities effectively.
- Collaborate internally across programmes, communications, and leadership team to develop integrated partnership solutions.
- Engage and leverage broader ecosystems (e.g. corporate leaders, foundations, key connectors) to unlock new opportunities.
3. Pipeline Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking of partnership pipelines, engagements, and outcomes.
- Monitor performance against targets, including revenue, partnership conversion, and engagement metrics.
- Support reporting and forecasting to inform management decisions and team planning.
- Contribute to overall team strategy, prioritisation, and continuous improvement of partnership efforts.
Job Criteria:
- A Degree in a relevant field, preferably in Business, with at least 5 years in business development, partnerships, sales or commercial roles.
- Experience in non-profit/fundraising is advantageous, but not required.
- Resourceful, with a proven track record in securing funding, developing partnerships, or stakeholder engagement.
- Good understanding of Corporate CSR in Singapore.
- Strong business acumen and ability to think in terms of value creation and ROI .
- Excellent stakeholder management, with confidence engaging senior leaders and decision-makers.
- Ability to structure and negotiate complex partnerships.
- Strategic thinker with execution capability.
