Manager, Communications Singapore
Role Responsibilities
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that elevate our brand reputation, support business growth, and strengthen employee engagement across diverse APAC (Asia Pacific) markets. The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling capabilities, solid regional experience, excellent stakeholdermanagement skills, and a proactive, collaborative working style.
Strategic Communications
- Support the development and implement a comprehensive regional communications strategy aligned with regional business and global objectives.
- Partner with senior leadership to support business priorities, transformation initiatives, and market expansion across APAC.
- Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and positioning across all internal and external channels.
- Provide strategic counsel to regional leaders on communications planning, risk management, and reputation issues.
Internal Communications
- Design and deliver internal communications plans to engage employees across multiple APAC markets and cultures.
- Support leadership communications including town halls, leadership messaging, and changing communications.
- Create and manage internal content across channels (intranet, newsletters, email, video, and events).
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and ensure message alignment across regional and global teams.
External Communications & Media Relations
- Lead external communications including media relations, thought leadership, corporate announcements, and crisis communications.
- Manage the press release process, from drafting to approval, media briefings, and proactive storytelling opportunities.
- Support executive profiling, speaking opportunities, and industry positioning.
Content & Digital Communications
- Oversee development of high-quality content for digital platforms, social media, and corporate channels.
- Ensure alignment between regional marketing and corporate communications initiatives.
- Monitor performance metrics and continuously improve communications effectiveness.
Stakeholder & Agency Management
- Collaborate with global communications, marketing, HR, and business teams.
- Manage external PR and communications agencies across APAC markets.
- Coordinate with country-level teams to ensure local relevance and consistency.
Issues & Crisis Communications
- Support crisis and issues management planning and execution across the region.
- Develop holding statements, Q&As, and response strategies when required.
- Provide timely guidance to regional leadership during sensitive situations.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
- 710+ years experience in corporate communications, PR, or related field. Proven experience managing communications across Singapore and other Asia Pacific markets.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English (additional Asian languages a plus).
- Experience advising senior stakeholders and managing executive communications.
- Solid media relations experience with regional and international press. Experience in crisis communications and reputation management preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across time zones and cultures.
