What role will you play
Reporting to the Regional Head of Commodities and Global Markets Business Compliance in Singapore, you will cover business activities in Asia and provide compliance and regulatory coverage on entity-specific requirements in Singapore. Your responsibilities will include business compliance advisory coverage, review of new products and transaction approvals, development and maintenance of compliance plans, policies, procedures, and monitoring processes, ongoing assessment of business risks and control effectiveness, and monitoring, reporting, and escalation of compliance issues.
You will also assist with regulatory interactions relating to Commodities and Global Markets business activities, including managing regulatory changes and inquiries, and horizon scanning of regulatory trends and developments, as well as deliver regional and global compliance priorities. In addition, you will be involved in various regional and global compliance objectives and projects impacting Commodities and Global Markets.
What You Offer
- At least 5 years of relevant regulatory or business compliance experience, focusing on managing regulatory changes
- Familiarity with financial and physical commodities businesses
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory changes, including OTC regulatory reforms and cross-border obligations such as Dodd-Frank
- Ability to work independently with a well-developed risk mindset
- Strong engagement skills and experience in influencing key stakeholders
- A pragmatic commercial approach to compliance, with an interest in working closely with the business to identify solutions while achieving the desired risk outcome.
