Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing clinical governance and patient safety. This role offers the opportunity to lead initiatives that ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while driving quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead secretariat for Clinical Governance Board and relevant sub-committees, collaborating with the Director to set meaningful agendas. Prepare and distribute meeting materials and slides to stakeholders promptly. Ensure the establishment and effectiveness of clinical governance structures, including committees like Credentialing & Privileging. Track issues raised during meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups and implementation of work plans in line with agreed milestones. Assess compliance with national healthcare regulations and ensure alignment with clinical policies and standards. Coordinate licensing activities and serve as the key contact for queries related to licensing. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and revise clinical governance policies and procedure manuals. Support the credentialing process for clinicians Assist in designing clinical dashboard indicators for monitoring quality and patient safety metrics. Facilitate cluster-level committees and initiatives focused on quality and patient safety. Identify and manage clinical risks as part of the clinical risk register in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Develop strategies for mitigating clinical risks in partnership with clinical leads. Maintain a reporting system for incidents and manage medico-legal complaints effectively. Ensure timely escalation of clinical incidents and complaints, supporting investigation processes. Review clinical service quality through system audits and monitoring of safety indicators. Lead clinical quality improvement training and programs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Life Sciences. 6-8 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role. Background in healthcare services with practical knowledge of clinical processes for quality improvement and risk mitigation. Experience in managing medical affairs, clinical governance, or quality management portfolios. Proficiency in preparing presentations, policies, proposals, and papers. Strong stakeholder management capabilities, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with a proactive and meticulous approach.
