About the Role

We are looking for a driven and creative communications professional to join SPH Media as Manager, Brand and Consumer Communications. Sitting within the Brand and Creative team, this is a high-visibility role responsible for shaping and executing consumer-facing brand narratives across a variety of traditional and emerging platforms.

This is a solo contributor role who has a sharp instinct for what engages audiences in todays fast-moving media environment and collaborates closely with stakeholders across creative, product, newsroom and marketing functions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in consumer communications, and excels in navigating complex collaboration with clarity, empathy and purpose.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening brand love, ensuring audience-centric messaging, and managing day-to-day execution across press, owned media, digital platforms, events, and other consumer touchpoints.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute consumer-facing narratives that align with SPH Medias brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all communication touchpoints including website, newsletters, social media, press releases, and events.
  • Manage and maintain a Brand and Communications calendar identifying key moments, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and consumer engagement opportunities to build an integrated, timely communications rhythm.
  • Craft and produce consumer communications materials in collaboration with internal creative teams, ensuring messaging is audience-relevant and on-brand.
  • Participate in marketing campaign planning and lead the integration of PR and communications strategies within wider marketing efforts, acting as the key liaison across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across marketing, newsroom, product, and commercial teams to translate business objectives into effective consumer communication strategies.
  • Track and report communications performance using appropriate metrics and tools to continuously refine approach and content effectiveness.

Who we are looking for

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in consumer communications, brand marketing, or public relations, preferably in a fast-paced media, lifestyle, or digital environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing communication strategies across both traditional (press, newsletters) and emerging (social, owned, digital) platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and editorial sensibility able to translate business or editorial objectives into compelling audience-facing messages.
  • Experienced in collaborating with creative teams and agencies to produce effective and engaging brand and comms materials.
  • A natural cross-functional collaborator excels in building relationships across internal teams (e.g. newsroom, product, marketing) and external partners.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with clarity and focus.
  • Adept in brand voice management, editorial calendars, and comms planning frameworks; familiarity with brand tracking or audience insights tools is a plus.
  • Curious, creative, and audience-obsessed always thinking about how to deliver the right message to the right audience, at the right time.
