Our Human Resource & Organisation Development (HROD) team supports NYC's mission by acting as a strategic partner to our divisions - and we are reimagining what modern HR looks like. We are not just filling roles; we are building AI-augmented workflows, turning HR data into workforce insights, and experimenting with new ways to attract and support talent.
We are looking for bright sparks like you to join us as Manager/ Assistant Manager on a one-year contract to gain hands-on experience in a government agency, make a real impact, and learn directly from youths.
What You Will Be Working On
As a Manager/Assistant Manager in HROD, you will support us in contributing to NYC's success. We are looking for someone who is interested in using AI and analytics to strengthen how we recruit, engage and understand our workforce. What We Are Looking For
- Experience in HR, AI, business, analytics, social sciences, communications, or related fields. Someone with a genuine interest in how AI is reshaping HR. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or skills are welcome.
- Familiarity with AI tools and digital workflows, with good data literacy skills (wrangling, cleaning, visualisation, and analysis).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- A fresh perspective on engaging with the newer generation workforce.
- Experience in event management or campus recruitment is a plus.
Beyond the skills, we are also looking for someone who is: - Proactive and eager to learn — resourceful and keen to develop your skills.
- Adaptable — able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
