This new actuarial role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Indexed Universal Life (IUL) product strategy by driving valuation insights and supporting key product development decisions. Position Responsibilities:
Assessment of the RBC2 valuation process impact during the IUL product discussion stage
Review produ ct assumptions
Support UL committee work and regular monitoring of the new money yield and hedging effectiveness.
Support the management of cap rate and earned spread review
Support MLRL monitoring of new products including capital relief
Work with VSSC on the modelling solutions for the IUL products and to ensure successful new product implementation into the models
Provide audit support and address audit queries on new assumptions/ methodologies/ processes/ reinsurance arrangements
Ensure compliance to statutory regulations, relevant actuarial standards and company policies.
Support ad-hoc projects
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
Good progress with actuarial exams from a recognized Actuarial examination body.
At least 5 years of actuarial valuation experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in statistical and actuarial software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Access, etc)
Working knowledge of AXIS will be an advantage
