Role Overview
The Account & Tax Manager will lead client portfolios across diverse industries, providing full-spectrum accounting, tax compliance, and advisory services. This role requires strong technical expertise in Singapore regulations, excellent client management skills, and the ability to support business structuring and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Client Portfolio
- Oversee full set of accounts for a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring timely preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with SFRS/SFRS(I).
Handle Corporate Tax & GST Compliance
- Review and file ECI, Form C/C-S, GST returns, withholding tax filings, and liaise directly with IRAS on client queries, audits, and assessments.
Oversee Payroll & Statutory Reporting
- Supervise payroll processing, CPF contributions, IR8A submissions, and ensure compliance with MOM and employment-related regulations.
Team Leadership & Review Function
- Supervise and review work prepared by junior accountants, provide technical guidance, and ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
Client Relationship & Business Development Support
- Participate in client meetings, provide strategic insights, identify advisory opportunities, and support cross-selling of corporate, tax, and compliance services.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA (Singapore), CPA Australia, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate services firm, public accounting firm, or mid-sized audit practice
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore accounting standards (SFRS/SFRS(I)) and tax regulationsExperience handling corporate tax, GST, and IRAS correspondence independently
- Prior experience managing a client portfolio is highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
