Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive andcorrective maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of farmequipment, machinery, electrical systems and building facilities to ensuresmooth, safe and efficient daily farm operations.

The role requires hands-on technical support in maintaining the farm'scontrolled-environment systems, production equipment, utilities andinfrastructure while ensuring minimal operational downtime.

The successful candidate must is expected to take ownership of allassigned maintenance responsibilities and ensure that equipment, machinery andfacilities are maintained in good operating condition.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment &Machinery Maintenance

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing of farm machinery, production equipment and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns to minimise operational downtime.
• Maintain pumps, motors, fans, conveyors, compressors and other farm-related equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment faults and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure machinery and equipment remain in good working condition.

2. Electrical &Automation Systems

• Assist in troubleshooting electrical panels, wiring, sensors, control systems and electrical components.
• Support the maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment and automated farm systems.
• Monitor and maintain electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operations.
• Identify, investigate and resolve faults in automated equipment and control systems.

3. Farm Facilities& Environmental Systems

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, air-conditioning, ventilation and cooling systems.
• Assist in servicing chillers, water pumps, filtration and irrigation systems.
• Monitor and maintain environmental control systems, including temperature, humidity and ventilation.
• Support the maintenance of greenhouse infrastructure and controlled-environment farming facilities.

4. General FacilitiesMaintenance

• Carry out general repair works involving plumbing, lighting, fixtures and building facilities.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance works.
• Ensure maintenance tools, spare parts and equipment are properly maintained and organised.
• Monitor the condition of facilities and proactively identify areas requiring maintenance or improvement.

5. Urgent Maintenance& Troubleshooting

• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, technical faults and operational disruptions.
• Attend to critical maintenance issues with a strong sense of urgency and take immediate action to investigate and rectify problems.
• Troubleshoot independently, identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
• Prioritise critical maintenance matters and ensure issues are resolved as quickly as reasonably practicable to minimise production downtime.
• Provide timely updates to the supervisor or management on the status of breakdowns, corrective actions and outstanding maintenance issues.
• Be prepared to provide urgent maintenance support outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, when operationally necessary and requested by the Company.

6. Safety &Documentation

• Follow workplace safety procedures and safe work practices at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns and repair works.
• Assist in maintaining preventive maintenance schedules and equipment service records.
• Report major equipment failures, safety hazards and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure all maintenance works are performed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations and Company procedures.

Job Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• Open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, industrial facilities, food production or agricultural environments.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, pumps, compressors and control panels.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, ventilation systems or automated equipment will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi or similar) is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently, diagnose technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Able to respond promptly to urgent equipment breakdowns and resolve issues within a reasonable timeframe.
• Practical, hands-on and safety-conscious with a positive working attitude.

Working Conditions

• Work in a controlled-environment indoor farm and production facility.
• Required to perform hands-on maintenance, servicing and repair works.
• Must be comfortable working in a farm and production environment.
