Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of equipment at a manufacturing facility located in Tuas.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that machinery and equipment are maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient condition, while supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of processing, blending and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Perform equipment disassembly, diagnosis, repair and re-assembly in accordance with required hygiene and safety standards.
• Repair and install machinery, equipment components, guards and piping where required.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, work orders and maintenance-related project activities.
• Support the investigation and resolution of equipment breakdowns and recurring downtime issues.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with workplace safety, GMP and cGMP requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and technical documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and improvement of SOPs, checklists and work instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and workplace organization in accordance with 5S standards.
• Participate in site emergency response activities when required.
• Provide guidance and technical support to new employees where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering and other relevant stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Prior experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and manufacturing practices.
