Maintenance Planner (Specialty Chemical Manufacturer)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive maintenance plans for routine, preventive, predictive, and corrective work, including high-impact plant shutdowns.

• SAP Systems Management: Act as the lead for SAP planning activities-managing schedules, technical documentation, and ensuring the timely closure of work orders.

• Operational Coordination: Work closely with the Scheduler and Operations-Maintenance Coordinators to resolve resource conflicts and ensure smooth task reallocation.

• Field Engagement: Perform on-site planning to clarify technical scopes, manage resource allocation (materials/services), and lead Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

• Asset Reliability: Collaborate with the Reliability and Execution teams to refine PM schedules, optimize maintenance costs, and ensure peak equipment performance.

• Continuous Improvement: Integrate new PM requirements from Management of Change (MOC) or project feedback into the master maintenance plan.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all works meet stringent local legislation, statutory requirements, and international corporate safety standards.

Requirements

• Education & Experience:Degree in Mechanical Engineering with min. 5 years of maintenance experience in Specialty Chemicals / Petrochemicals OR Diploma with min. 10 years of relevant industry experience.

• Rotating Equipment: Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of Steam Turbines, Centrifugal/Reciprocating/Screw Compressors, and Multistage Pumps.

• Static Equipment: Proficiency in the planning and maintenance of Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Piping, Tanks, and Valves.

• Industry Standards: Familiarity with API and ASME standards for both rotating and static assets.

• Digital Literacy: High proficiency in SAP (PM Module) and Microsoft Office Suite.
