We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee application maintenance and enhancement activities for one of our clients in Singapore.
Job Description:
As a Maintenance Lead, you will take overall ownership of the day-to-day coordination, quality, and delivery performance of both the Functional and Technical Maintenance Teams.
You will work closely with technical specialists, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and service management teams to ensure incidents, system issues, enhancements, reporting requirements, and operational improvements are delivered effectively and in accordance with agreed service standards.
The role requires strong leadership across application support, incident management, release governance, operational reporting, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise application maintenance, application support, managed services, or production support, including experience leading functional and technical teams.
Provide overall leadership and coordination across the Functional and Technical Maintenance Teams, ensuring resources are assigned effectively according to business priorities, incident criticality, delivery plans, and service commitments.
Oversee the investigation and resolution of application incidents, system defects, data discrepancies, interface or integration issues, and recurring operational problems.
Ensure complex or high-impact issues are appropriately prioritised, escalated, tracked, and resolved within agreed service expectations.
Guide enhancements to business intelligence and customer insight capabilities, including dashboards, analytical models, KPIs, and management reporting for different stakeholder groups.
Coordinate the development and delivery of operational and management reports required by supported business departments.
Drive automation initiatives that improve the preparation and generation of operational documents and service-related materials.
Lead improvements to automated workflows supporting post-purchase and downstream service fulfilment processes.
Review key functional and technical outputs produced by the maintenance teams to ensure they meet expected quality standards before testing, deployment, or client submission.
Ensure the appropriate business and technical approvals are obtained before changes are introduced into the production environment.
Maintain oversight of solution quality and ensure maintenance deliverables align with agreed business requirements, system architecture, security requirements, testing practices, documentation standards, and release procedures.
Track team performance across areas such as service levels, workload, incident volume, recurring issues, root causes, resolution timelines, backlog health, and improvement initiatives.
Provide regular maintenance and service performance updates to the Service Delivery Manager, supported by clear metrics, trends, risks, and action items.
Identify opportunities to improve service reliability, team efficiency, preventive maintenance practices, and operational processes.
Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to priorities enhancements and ensure maintenance activities remain aligned with operational needs.
Support effective knowledge sharing, documentation, and collaboration between functional and technical team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree, Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related discipline.
Proven experience leading application maintenance, application support, managed services, or production support teams.
Strong understanding of both functional and technical application support environments.
Experience managing incidents, defects, problem resolution, root-cause analysis, and escalation processes.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple technical and functional workstreams while balancing operational priorities and service-level commitments.
Experience overseeing application enhancements, testing, release coordination, and production deployment activities.
Strong understanding of change control, approval processes, quality assurance, and release governance.
Experience working with dashboards, operational reporting, analytics, KPIs, and business intelligence requirements.
Familiarity with system integrations, data-related issues, and troubleshooting across interconnected enterprise applications.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate specialists across different functional and technical disciplines.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work with business users, technical teams, vendors, and service management stakeholders.
Ability to analyze service performance, identify recurring operational issues, and drive structured improvement initiatives.
Strong documentation, reporting, planning, and organisational skills.
Candidates must be available to work on a shift or roster basis, including weekends and Singapore Public Holidays, where required by operational needs.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience leading maintenance or support teams within an enterprise, managed services, or client-facing technology environment.
Experience supporting complex enterprise platforms involving multiple business functions, integrations, reporting components, and external systems.
Familiarity with ITIL practices covering incident, problem, change, release, and service-level management.
Experience implementing workflow automation, operational process automation, or document-generation solutions.
Exposure to customer analytics, customer 360, CRM, business intelligence, or data-driven reporting solutions.
Experience working with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including platforms such as Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, or related business applications, would be advantageous.
Relevant certifications in IT service management, project management, Microsoft technologies, or related disciplines would be beneficial.
Knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, omni-channel and multi-touchpoint e-commerce systems, platforms, customer journeys, integrations, and operational workflows will be preferred.
