Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, improving machine reliability, and keeping production operations running smoothly

Our client is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer - Plant Equipment to join their engineering team and take ownership of the reliability, maintenance and continuous improvement of critical plant equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and production equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment issues.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime through effective root-cause analysis.
Develop and improve preventive maintenance programmes to enhance equipment reliability and availability.
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process and maintenance improvements.
Support installation, commissioning, upgrading and modification of new and existing plant equipment.
Work closely with production, engineering and external vendors to resolve recurring equipment issues.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA and corrective/preventive actions for equipment failures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdown history, spare parts and equipment performance.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for equipment servicing, repairs and technical support.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with WSH, safety and environmental requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement, reliability and cost-reduction projects.

What We're Looking For

Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline.
Experience in plant equipment, industrial machinery or manufacturing maintenance.
Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Experience in RCA, troubleshooting and equipment reliability improvement.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working closely with production teams, technicians, contractors and equipment vendors.
Able to work independently and respond effectively to urgent equipment breakdowns.
