Job Description
Overall Purpose
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of equipment across the companies within the Group, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, technical issues are effectively diagnosed and resolved, production is supported, and maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with engineering standards and company requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance according to the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedule.
- Plan, coordinate and follow up on assigned maintenance work to ensure timely completion and minimise equipment downtime.
- Liaise with the Production and Cleanroom teams on maintenance requirements, equipment issues and production priorities.
- Investigate recurring equipment faults, identify practical improvement measures and report significant issues to the Maintenance Manager or Management.
- Maintain adequate technical knowledge of the equipment and machinery used by the companies within the Group.
- Coordinate with AT Coating Pte Ltd (ATCC) maintenance personnel on maintenance-related matters and escalate significant concerns where necessary.
- Support maintenance-related tenders and projects by providing technical information on equipment, maintenance requirements, manpower, materials and scope of work.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Department on the procurement of spare parts, materials, tools and external maintenance services. Provide technical input and identify reasonable cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or equipment reliability.
- Update maintenance records accurately and promptly in the Maintenance AI Dashboard. Assist in identifying equipment and maintenance trends and preparing weekly reports on completed works, outstanding matters and equipment issues.
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the Company's safety procedures, EHS policies and applicable workplace safety requirements.
- Use the required personal protective equipment and promptly report safety concerns, incidents or unsafe working conditions to Management.
- Maintain and comply with AT Work at Height (WAH) and Hot Work (HW) procedures.
- Assist with regulatory submissions and maintain regulatory compliance for equipment including pressure vessels, compressors, forklifts, hoists and other relevant facilities equipment.
- Participate in the annual line-down maintenance programme.
- Perform any other duties, ad hoc assignments, projects or operational improvement initiatives reasonably assigned by the Manager or Management from time to time.
