Job Summary
Read engineering drawings, use measuring instruments, set up machines, and operate them to produce quality parts that meet production schedules. Ensure compliance with QHSE Policies and Procedures at all times.
Responsibilities
- Interpret process routing, engineering drawings, and job requirements to carry out machining processes accurately within specified timeframes
- Set up and warm up machines effectively before operations to ensure smooth production
- Perform daily maintenance on machinery according to checklists to maintain operational efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace by disposing of metal chips regularly and before shift changes
- Handle materials safely to prevent accidents and damage
- Update the Production Supervisor and Production Manager regularly on job progress and report any non-conformances promptly
- Support the Production Supervisor in generating CNC programs when required
- Manage and care for all issued tooling accessories, inserts, and related items to prevent loss or damage
- Complete and sign process routing and production records accurately, scanning documents in and out as required
- Follow safe work practices and company QHSE policies consistently to minimize risks and environmental impact
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production and quality objectives
- Report unsafe acts, infrastructure issues, and environmental hazards to supervisors and managers immediately
- Ensure proper handover of jobs during shift changes to maintain continuity
- Participate actively in company functions, activities, and meetings as required
- Perform additional assignments and duties as directed to support production goals
Accountabilities:
- Deliver finished products on time to meet production schedules
- Minimize rework and rejection rates through quality machining and process adherence
- Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Contribute to achieving QHSE objectives through teamwork and compliance
Qualifications/Experiences:
- NTC/Nitec qualification preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in metal machining or oil and gas industries
