Job Summary

You will operate various workshop machines independently to support ship repair and maintenance projects, perform regular machine maintenance, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling, drilling, lathe, boring, grinding, hydraulic press, rolling, and surface finishing machines independently to produce precise components
• Handle profile cutting machines to support production requirements
• Perform regular maintenance on workshop machines to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices to promote a safe and organized workshop environment
• Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards
• Support other production tasks in the workshop as needed to meet project goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Vocational or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Servicing, Maintenance, or Machining, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Machinist
