About the role
This is a 1year project renewable contract opportunity for a Systems Engineer (Exchange Online / M365) to join the team at ES Recruitment Pte Ltd. Based in the Ang Mo Kio North-East Region, this role will focus on providing strategic, high-quality and timely technical support for the company's Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. As a contract position, the work type is fixed-term.
This is a fully onsite role with rostered weekend shifts
24x7 standby is based on roster schedule and will rotate within the team.
Office hours are 8.30am to 6pm
Overview
The System engineer will be the subject matter expert to assist on the administration and support of the M365, end user support and system. The engineer will require to be equip with M365 administration knowledge, Windows 11 knowledge and operation experience for setup of M365. Cat 2B security Clearance required in this project.

What you be doing:
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain computer operating systems and services, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network, system, and endpoint security
- Evaluate and propose hardware and software upgrades (e.g. Tech Refresh) to end user equipment
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve escalated issues and coordinate with vendors troubleshooting when necessary.
- Perform imaging and reimaging tasks using autopilot for desktops, laptops, and servers, ensuring standardization and security compliance.
- Provision new and existing endpoints and servers, including installation, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Solid Level 2 troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic network issues (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
User Helpdesk Support
- Provide end-users remote and onsite technical support, addressing hardware, software, and network issues
- Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone calls, and resolve or escalate issues effectively as necessary
Knowledge Sharing
- Document and track technical support issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Project Work
- Lead client project as Project Manager, overseeing all aspects from inception to completion
- Conduct annual internal IT assessment and provide actionable recommendations
- Configure Microsoft 365 environments, including user provisioning, licensing, and other essential services
- Configure and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other services
- Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 security measures and policies, including Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Cloud Defender, MFA, and Conditional Access
Security Management
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policies (GPOs) to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Fulfil audit requirements of Information Security Management System standards.
- Perform Quality Assurance testing for changes to end users equipment (e.g. security patching, application version upgrade, etc.)
Others
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time
What we're looking for
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in M365.
- Experience with quality assurance testing and processes
- Proficiency in Windows OS installation, configuration, and support.
- PowerShell scripting experience required. Proficient in automating and scripting tasks using PowerShell
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: 365 Endpoint Administrator, ITIL v4 foundation at an advantage
- Cat 2B security Clearance required in this project
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to learn new things quickly
- Extensive knowledge of Exchange Online administration and configuration, including user/mailbox management, migration, and troubleshooting
